1. Acquiring personal information
Our hotels will disclose the purpose(s) of use of personal information entrusted to us and will only ask for personal information to the extent necessary to achieve these purpose(s).
2. Purpose(s) of use
"Our hotels will use the personal information we have acquired for the following purposes.
Personal information will not be used for purpose(s) exceeding the scope of those found herein without the consent of the party concerned (agreeing to the terms of service during user registration will not be considered as consent)."
A. To offer services, including online reservations, and address any matters incidental to these services.
B. To provide information on events, services, products, and other business activities related to our hotels, JR Hotel Members, and companies part of the JR East, JR Central, JR West, and JR Kyushu corporate groups.
C. To process inquiries and requests for documents, etc.
D. To hold campaigns and contests, etc.
E. To exercise and perform the rights and obligations to which we are legally bound.
F. To conduct analyses with the intent of improving products and services and to ascertain the conditions under which this information is used at affiliated hotels.
G. For other purposes of use made clear at the time the personal information was acquired.
3. Disclosure and provision to third parties
Except in cases where prescribed by law, our hotels will not disclose personal information we have acquired to any third party without the prior consent of the party concerned (agreeing to the terms of service during usber registration will not be considered as consent).
In cases where, to the extent necessary in achieving the purposes of use, the handling of personal information has been entrusted to a third party, an agreement concerning the preservation of confidentiality will be concluded with the contracted party and appropriate supervision and guidance on the proper handling of personal information will be provided.
4. Shared usage
To provide a higher level of added value for our services, our hotels engage in shared usage of personal information in the following manners. In cases where a separate policy regarding the handling of personal information has been established by our affiliates, JR-East Hotels member organizations or JR Hotel Members’ affiliates, this will take precedence.

As part of the JR Hotel Members group, JR Kyushu Hotels, Kokura Terminal Building Co., Ltd., JR Tokai Hotels, West Japan Railway Hotel Development Ltd., Hotel Granvia Osaka, Hotel Granvia Okayama, Hotel Granvia Hiroshima, Wakayama Terminal Building Co., Ltd., Nara Hotel, and Amagasaki Hotel Development Ltd. will receive shared access to personal information.
In addition to the proper management of personal information, our hotels have established a rational set of technical policies and other appropriate safety measures to prevent against the loss, damage, alteration, unauthorized access, and leakage of personal information. We continually work to improve and correct these policies and measures.
We also make sure personal information in our possession is accurate and up-to-date within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use and appropriately monitor those in charge of handling said information.
6. Disclosing personal information
If you wish to review any personal information we have on hand that can be used identify you, we will disclose the information to you by the following procedure:
1. We ask you for your disclosure request in writing
2. We ask that you to attach your ID to the disclosure request (e.g., a copy of your health insurance card or driver’s license).
3. We inform you in writing of the details, including the existence or non-existence of personal data we keep on hand.
Revising, adding and deleting
If you send us a written request for additions to or deletions of your personal data, we will accept your request in writing, check your ID (e.g., a copy of your health insurance card or driver’s license), and take prompt action.

7. Online safety measures
Our hotels have put in place the following technical policies as part of our safety measures for use of the online reservation systems. This, however, shall not be taken as guaranteeing a completely secure user environment.
A. About SSL
To allow our users to safely submit their personal information, all pages on our homepage that process personal information employ SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology. After encrypting the data entered, SSL creates a path to the computer where data is registered. (Using a system of encryption and verification carried out via transmissions between the browser and server, SSL prevents user data from being stolen or altered by third parties.)

We have taken extra care to protect the information contained on our website(s) by setting up a firewall and implementing other measures to prevent against hacking and other external threats.
8. Compliance and improvements
Our hotels periodically revise and improve our privacy policies based on social, legal, and regulatory changes that arise and notify our users of these revisions and improvements by publishing them on our homepage.
