Sightseeing/Outing [1] | Shibuya Ward's Miyashita Park (MIYASHITA PARK)
Enjoy a Morning Walk and Appreciate Public Art

Miyashita Park was established in 1966 as Tokyo's first rooftop park and has been loved by many people. In July 2020, it was renovated and became MIYASHITA PARK, which stretches along Meiji Street.
The floors spanning from the first underground floor to the third floor of the facility are commercial floors. On the rooftop is Shibuya Ward's Miyashita Park.

On the north side of the park, there is wide open space of about 1000 m2 in size that is covered with a lawn and functions exactly like an urban oasis. Apparently, there are also events held where visitors will be found picnicking and lying down under the blue sky.

In one corner of the giant lawn, you will find a public art piece called SHIBUYA HACHI COMPASS | Hachi's Universe, which features a statue of the loyal dog Hachiko. Created by artist Yasuhiro Suzuki, this piece shows Hachiko gazing up at the sky from a bench shaped like Shibuya Ward, placed at the center of a six-meter-wide compass.

Hachiko looks up at Professor Ueno who has become a star in the sky. This piece was created with the hope that human connections would have MIYASHITA PARK serve as Shibuya's compass pointing towards the future.

DORAEMON'S DOOR TO THE FUTURE is a monument commemorating the 50th anniversary of the birth of Doraemon. The monument is 3.921 meters tall, which is Doraemon's height (129.3 cm) in reverse. You can see Fujiko F. Fujio's popular characters gathered around the door.

Fans will love this collection of characters, which includes Doraemon, Perman, Chimpui and Mami the Psychic.

The park also has sports facilities, such as a skate park where visitors can do some skateboarding and rollerblading, a climbing wall for bouldering, and a sand court. If you're hungry, you can enjoy brunch at a cafe or restaurant downstairs.

So many ways to enjoy! Experience an incredible sense of openness high above Shibuya.

These are observation facilities located on the 14th, 45th and 46th floors of Shibuya Scramble Square There is also one on the roof. One can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view from the observation space on the rooftop, which is 229 meters above ground and the highest place in Shibuya.

The first thing you need to do is to buy tickets at the ticket counter on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square. Take the elevator from the 14th floor to the 45th floor. As you go higher and higher, you will be taken to an extraordinary place created through effects involving overhead visuals and immersive spatial sound.

The rooftop observation space, called SKY STAGE, is the largest in Japan with an area of approximately 2500 m2. From SKY EDGE, which stretches to the northwest, you can see Shibuya Scramble Crossing down below, with the rest of Tokyo sprawling out from Shibuya! We also recommend making use of the photo service (from 1500 yen) to commemorate your visit.

SKY STAGE has a big open lawn, a wooden deck, and hammocks where you can spend your time at your own pace while gazing at the blue sky. You can see Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree to the east, and Tokyo Bay and Yokohama to the south, allowing you to enjoy a sense of openness and views that are outstanding.

The escalator between SKY STAGE and SKY GATE (on the 14 to 45th floors) has a glass exterior, so you can enjoy panoramic views of the city from there as well. In the SKY GALLERY indoor observation corridor on the 46th floor, you can have a great time at a paradise lounge where you can enjoy a view and a meal. An All-Star Lineup of Various Amusement Facilities! A Bowling Alley a Stone's Throw from the Station

Located in the center of Shibuya, this is an amusement facility with a bowling alley, a billiard hall, table tennis tables, a video arcade, and more, which are all found in a building with one basement floor and nine above-ground floors. There is a bowling alley on the first basement floor as well as on the third to fifth floors. There, you can enjoy heated games of bowling that come with sounds and visual effects.

The basement level offers a cozy mini floor with a café, also available for private events. There are only three lanes in total there, so it is also recommended for gatherings such as small parties. Each floor has a different atmosphere, with the third floor featuring dark lights and a large LED display that's impressive. The fourth floor is referred to as the “natural standard floor,” and features a decorative focus on wood grains.

This time, our game started in the stylish Brooklyn-style space on the first basement floor. Let's enjoy bowling under calm lighting.

After several tries, I bowled a strike. The hotel staff were very excited to see it happen.

Keep your posture straight and bowl while listening to the advice of those around you.

The cafe beside the lanes on the basement first floor features a sophisticated atmosphere. The cafe mainly serves grill-based cuisine and you can enjoy cafe meals such as pizza and spaghetti as well. You’ll also find special seating available, where you can eat while watching people bowl.

The colorful bowling balls blend into the stylish interior and are color-coded by weight in pounds.

This is a stylish bowling alley that is used for TV dramas, YouTube and magazine shoots, and more. Let's move our bodies as much as we can and spend an active time in a well-equipped facility that one just cannot believe is so close to the station.

One back street from Takeshita Street leads to the sanctuary of Togo Shrine, which is covered with green trees. This shrine is devoted to Togo Heihachiro no Mikoto. Togo was the Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet during the Russo-Japanese War and led Japan to victory during that conflict.

The shrine was established in 1940. The main hall, which is a one-story reinforced concrete building, was rebuilt in 1964. Many visitors come to pray for the divine benefits provided by the god of victory and sincerity.

The shining crest on the door of the shrine is the Marshal-Admiral's badge.

On the grounds of the shrine, you can get messages from the gods by drawing a Hana Omikuji (flower fortune slip) for 200 yen, a Kaiun Omikuji (good fortune slip) for 500 yen, and so on.

In accordance with the shrine's annual festival, the shrine’s purification fountain had a gorgeous arrangement of flowers floating atop the water.

On the approach to the shrine, banners decorated with a colorful red, blue, yellow and black Z flag pattern are being offered to the gods. The Z flag was once displayed by the flagship Mikasa after its victory over the Baltic Fleet of Russia, and has since become a familiar symbol of victory.

At the amulet office, you can purchase things like victory charms embroidered with the Z flag on the left (1000 yen) and the badge of the Togo Shrine Supporters Association on the right (500 yen), which features the Admiral's Flag and the Z flag. Grill Your Food Yourself, Cook it to Your Own Liking, and Try the Finest Beef Cutlet

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy Gyukatsu, which is very popular among tourists from abroad. This shop's beef cutlet is characterized by its medium-rare finish, in which carefully selected beef is wrapped in fine bread crumbs and fried quickly in a short time. The batter is light, so you can enjoy the juicy taste of the beef.

A Beef Cutlet Meal (1.5 pieces / 195 g) is 2810 yen. The medium-rare beef cutlets made through the skills of artisans are amazing! In addition to rice and miso soup, four types of small side dishes are included in the form of grated yam, spicy pollock roe, warabi mochi, and pickled vegetables.
